Quick Tips
- Water your flowers
everyday, depending on the weather. If it rains you still need
to check your flowers to see if they actually received any of
that rain. If you have a lot of flowers and foliage, the soil
probably didn't get enough water.
- Combination
baskets should receive about 2 quarts of water everyday. Fertilize
them with 1 tablespoon of Miracle Grow in a gallon of water once
a week. When
going away for the weekend with no one to take care of your
flowers, water them really well and put them in either the garage
or in a shady area until you return.
- Some
plants are aggressive growers and might need a hair cut throughout
the summer. Petunias and potato vine are two examples of plants
which are very aggressive. You can either cut back the straggly
ends of the petunias or cut out a chunk of the potato
vine if they are invading the flowers next to them.
